Today I went to my first Chamber of Commerce event as the CVUSD board representative, filling Jo Alegria's assigned committee responsibilities.  It was a fun First Friday Breakfast at the El Cajon Elks Lodge, a spacious and comfortable venue.  My two take-aways: the Chamber staff and volunteers are much more entertaining than I was expecting, and East County if filled with kind and welcoming business owners and employees who are engaged in doing good for our community.  Not only is CVUSD an employer among many, but we also benefit as we pursue partnerships that provide our students with career education and opportunities.

Board Member Compensation
