I spent an hour visiting Chase Avenue Elementary's 5th and 6th grade classrooms in core curriculum instruction (math and language arts).  It is only a week before state testing here at Chase, so the teachers were hard at work facilitating their most engaging review and preparation lessons, and students were hard at work collaborating (and sometimes competing) to boost their confidence in the subject matter.  I saw students doing quick responses to writing prompts and rating each other, reviewing basic algebra and geometry, and sharpening their reading comprehension skills.  Good luck, Chase Tigers!
