Charter Schools

Charter Schools have been a hot button topic here in CVUSD as of late.   I have made my convictions known multiple times, but some have implied that to favor educational options is to be against our own District or our valued employees.  While I wholeheartedly agree that our staff have the right to form an opt-in collective labor union to look out for their best interests, giving our families the opportunity to choose is not an attack on our employees.  The charter schools that CVUSD authorizes each provide unique programs that are data-driven and focused on student success, broadening the rich educational offerings of our community.  Although I trust our Cajon Valley staff to do an amazing job educating our students, I trust our families to decide what's best for their children.
